West Yorkshire based Brocklehurst Transport, now boasts a fleet in excess of 30 vehicles, thanks to the acquisition of the new Stralis Hi-Way, supplied by Northern Commercials. The Stralis Hi-Way is the brand new Iveco tractor unit, and sets Brocklehurst apart, with a stunning road presence. The AS440S46TX/P Hi-Way model features full aerodynamic kit to help reduce drag, and is powered by an impressive 460hp engine, which is EEV rated. Early tests substantiate Iveco’s claim that the new aerodynamic design, combined with innovative technology, will significantly reduce overall cost of ownership. Dave Webster, Managing Director of Brocklehurst Transport, says: “The new Stralis is an impressive piece of kit, and it has already drawn a lot of attention. The new model is one of the first to enter operation in the region so it definitely stands out amongst other trucks.” Brocklehurst has also ordered an Iveco Eurocargo ML180E25 Sleeper, with sliding high roof, 28ft Curtainside Body, complete with Dhollandia Tuck-Away Tail Lift. Dave explained, “Both vehicles meet the EEV standards so we don’t incur extra fines when entering London’s low emission zone. Also, ordering early in 2013 has ensured we benefit from the price advantage of the current EEV models before the introduction of the Euro 6.” Both trucks have been supplied with repair and maintenance contracts, which will see servicing, maintenance and repairs carried out at the Northern Commercials workshop in Brighouse. For added convenience, Northern Commercials workshop is open almost 24/7, with overnight servicing available Monday to Friday. Founded in 1978, Brocklehurst Transport operates from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. Brocklehurst has a growing fleet, from vans to artics, meaning that it is capable of handling various size loads quickly and efficiently. Brocklehurst is a member of the FORTEC pallet network, which means that it can provide a complete service for UK and European pallet distribution.
