Discover the Dynamic Range of IVECO Alternative Fuel Vehicles at Road Transport Expo 2024
IVECO is set to make a significant impact at the Road Transport Expo (RTX) 2024, showcasing an impressive lineup of electric and CNG vehicles that represent the future of low-emission transportation. From the all-electric eDaily to the CO2-slashing CNG models, the IVECO stand (P1) promises to be a hub of innovation and excitement.
At the forefront of IVECO’s exhibit is the IVECO S-Way 460, a truck that epitomises the potential of compressed natural gas (CNG) technology. Capable of running on biomethane, this model can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95% compared to its diesel counterparts. Despite its eco-friendly credentials, the S-Way 460 retains the robust performance and driver-centric features that have made the S-Way series a favourite among operators.
The eDaily will demonstrate its versatility with various configurations, including a caged tipper and a 7.2-tonne box van. The caged tipper, equipped with a lightweight Brit-Tipp body, offers an impressive 1,038kg payload, making it ideal for efficient loading and unloading. Meanwhile, the 7.2-tonne box van boasts innovative features such as a recyclable body and range-extending solar panels, proving IVECO’s commitment to sustainable design.
Truck enthusiasts will be thrilled to see the limited-edition IVECO S-Way TurboStar on display. This model pays homage to the legendary TurboStar of the 1980s with its retro graphics and unique features. As one of only 180 units produced, this left-hand-drive 4×2 is a rare gem that’s sure to captivate visitors.
IVECO’s exhibit is not just about static displays. The eDaily Mobile Power Station will demonstrate the capabilities of ePTO onboard power, delivering up to 50kW. Visitors can enjoy charging their smart devices, playing a giant buzz wire game, or even making popcorn, all powered by ePTO. Plus, guests can participate in a fun contest to guess the number of balloons in the spacious IVECO S-Way cab for a chance to win a Ferrari driving experience.
One of the highlights of RTX 2024 will be the eDaily towing world record vehicle, which famously pulled 153.58 tonnes. At the event, this formidable EV, driven by strongman Adam Bishop, will tow a 15-tonne IVECO X-Way Mixer, showcasing its remarkable strength and durability.
