Fiat Professional’s widely-acclaimed Doblò Cargo has picked up another important award, this time winning the Traders’ Choice accolade in the 2013 Trade Van Driver (TVD)
This latest title completes a hat-trick for Fiat Professional in the 2013 TVD Magazine Awards and is in addition to the previously announced awards for Fiat Professional’s Fiorino being named Best City Van and the Doblò Work Up winning Best Small Pick-Up.Magazine Awards.
The Trade Van Driver Awards are judged not only by the expert panel of journalists at the magazine but also by a panel of readers who use light commercial vehicles as part of their businesses.
Matthew Eisenegger, TVD Magazine Editor, presented the award to Sebastiano Fedrigo, director, Fiat Professional UK, on the Fiat Professional stand at this month’s CV show (9-11 April) in Birmingham.
Commenting on the award, Matthew Eisenegger says: “We asked the traders on our judging panel which van was, in their opinion, the top choice for small business owners. The Fiat Doblò Cargo was their unanimous choice. Stylish looks, a huge range of models, low running costs, rock solid reliability, superb drivability and great back-up all added up to a vehicle that they felt just couldn’t be beaten.”
Sebastiano Fedrigo adds: “We are delighted that our class-leading Doblò Cargo has been recognised again in these awards.
“It is particularly pleasing that this latest award is from traders who use their vehicles on a daily basis and who have recognised the considerable benefits our versatile Doblò Cargo brings to their businesses.”
Fiat Professional’s Doblò Cargo is the first LCV to have a bi-link rear suspension which ensures a smooth ride, lower loading height and better width between wheelarches. Additionally, the bi-link suspension permits a rear axle load up to 1,450kg.
The Doblò Cargo sits on an all-new platform that makes it a class leader in all the areas that matter most to professional drivers. It has great carrying capacity in both weight and size terms: up to 1 ton payload and up to 5.0 m3 volume.
The award-winning load-carrier is available with a choice of five low emissions, Euro 5-specification engines, and comes in several different forms combining dimensions, trim levels, engines and body types – Cargo, Cargo Maxi, Cargo SX, Cargo Tecnico, Cargo Maxi SX, Cargo Maxi Tecnico, Combi, Combi Maxi, Platform Cab, Work Up, and XL – to offer solutions for a wide spectrum of commercial vehicle users.
The engine line-up comprises four MultiJet diesels – 1.3 (90bhp), 1.6 (105bhp), 1.6 Comfort-Matic (90bhp) and 2.0 (135bhp) and a 1.4-litre 16v 95bhp petrol unit, providing best in class fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
All these attributes make Doblò Cargo the most versatile, most efficient and best performing van in its class.
The TVD Awards aim to give recognition to manufacturers, firms and people who, in the opinion of the judges, offer the very best to retail van buyers.
