IVECO wins ‘LCV Manufacturer of the Year’ at GREENFLEET awards

IVECO has been crowned LCV Manufacturer of the Year, at the 2023 GREENFLEET awards, which took place on 7th December at the British Motor Museum in Warwick.

The Daily range impressed the judges to win the award, with its ‘alternative fuel powertrains that allow operators to reduce fleet emissions without compromising capability’ seeing off some tough competition.

The GREENFLEET award citation highlights “the eDaily offers exceptional flexibility, and blends innovation with the trusted qualities that have made Daily a renowned choice with LCV operators.”

The IVECO eDaily provides all the class-leading qualities operators value in the diesel model, just electric. Available in more body styles than any other in its class, including van, cab, crew cab, chassis cowl and minibus this eLCV is ready for any mission. An unrivalled 3.5-tonne towing capacity, up to 19.6m3 of cargo volume and a class-leading payload of up to 4.6-tonne which is only possible because of its rugged ladder frame chassis.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) also plays an important role in decarbonisation, with the IVECO Daily CNG model providing a solution that many operators can easily adopt. The Daily CNG emits up to 95% less CO2 than an equivalent diesel vehicle when run on biomethane. Alongside its electric version, CNG Daily operators frequently entering the increasing number of Low Emission Zones in UK cities can meet strict environmental standards and avoid penalty charges without compromising mission capability.

Driver comfort is also an important element of IVECO’s LCVs with the Daily featuring Hi-Comfort seats – a segment first – with memory foam central cushion pads, backrest, and headrest to help reduce pressure peaks by up to 30%. The optional AIR-PRO pneumatic rear suspension further adds to driver comfort and operating flexibility. By calculating individual shock absorber pressure every 10 milliseconds, a 25% reduction in vibrations and a 30% reduction in roll angle helps contribute to a more relaxed driving experience.
