The latest innovation from Powertec Vehicle Engineering is a new design of Low Approach Slide Bed body.
What makes this so radically different to existing low approach equipment on the market is the revolutionary use of a system called Sliding Pivotal Allignment (SPA). This allows for a system that is low on maintenance, low in weight and extremely easy to operate. The patent applied for design gives excellent payloads because of its low design weight (approximately 1500 kg) for a 6m Aluminium Slide Bed.
This NEW design as undergone rigorous testing, firstly by structural analysis load simulation and also by physical load testing.
This new design is available in 4000kg, 6000kg, 8000kg and 10,000kg capacity.
Unlike existing low approach equipment, this new design has the ability to remove the possibility of user error by building in certain safety features to eliminate misuse, the whole operation is sequenced for both loading and unloading.
Ladyroyd Garage of Bradford have just taken delivery of a So-low unit fitted to an Iveco 72C17 chassis.
The owner of Ladyroyd Garage said it was unbelievably easy to use, with all the specially designed safety features it took the guess work out of the operation, gave an excellent payload of over 3000 kg and came at a price that was very competitive. He was also impressed by the simple maintenance programme required for the So-low compared to other low approach equipment.
