Distinctive Style and Contents

The new and exciting Fullback will be available at launch with the favourable Double-Cab body type.

This features a sporty scope with its forward extending cab and a reduced front overhang. The front has a definitive ‘Italian style’ touch which complements the new stylistic mark of the Fiat Professional brand. The sides have distinct ribs that streamline the body and the rear is well connected to the cab.

With clear reference to the rest of the Fiat Professional family style, the exterior maintains the model’s attractiveness with a modern and dynamic feel.

Fullback features a unique front bumper and grille, along with alloy wheels burnished with diamond treatment. Depending on the trim, these are available in either 16’’ or 17”.

With interiors, including a comfortable car like cabin, enlarged living space, ride relaxation, quietness air conditioning and sophisticated infotainment systems, the look portrays the functionality of a work vehicle paired with the luxury and elegance of a high range SUV.

Overall Fullback demonstrates improved reliability and durability, especially in harsh environments, due to the optimised body structure which is able to challenge every road and off-road surface.

Line up and Dimensions

Fullback boasts a large load capacity and a high degree strength, mainly due to its ladder frame. Therefore this vehicle is built for facing and overcoming the most exciting missions!

In detail, all Fullback versions have a maximum external height of 1,780 mm, widths of up to 1,815 mm and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

The overall length of the Double-Cab is 5,285 mm with a load bed measuring 1,520mm.

Fullbacks can easily carry over one ton and its towable weight exceeds three tons.

Comfort & Functional

With a high quality and sporty image, the Fullback introduces numerous elements to achieve comfort and ergonomics, along with luxurious contemporary style.

The stylish combination of piano black and silver accent on the centre, shift and switch panel creates a classy, high quality, enviable impression.

Both trim levels are equipped with Audio Commands on the Steering Wheel, which are also in leather coupled with leather gear knob.

Performance

Fullback will be available with a 2.4-litre aluminium turbo diesel engine with two power outputs – 150hp (113kW) or 180hp (133kW) – combined with an original six-speed manual gearbox or five-speed automatic transmission with sports mode.

The aluminium turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine with variable valve timing is one of the most efficient and powerful in the market and the newly developed diesel engine features greatly improved fuel consumption due to a low compression ratio that raises combustion efficiency.

The 6-speed manual gearbox is highly responsive and reduces shift length when changing, this interprets a more car-like feel to changing gear.

The 5-speed unit provides clean gear changes and enhanced fuel economy during motorway driving. Its electronic control can adapt to customer driving style, while the Sports Mode facility offers clutch less manual gear shifting for instant response.

Traction and Driveability

All 4X4 versions are equipped with an electronic selector that makes it possible to engage the all-wheel drive in “part time” or “full time” mode.

“Part time” mode is available on SX versions and has three driving positions: “2H” (optimal roads) with rear-wheel drive; “4H”, selectable for speeds up to 60mph, distributes the traction to all four drive wheels for safer driving on slippery or rough roads; “4L” provides low-range gears for extreme off-road conditions.

“Full time” mode is instead available on the top-of-the-range LX versions, which is characterized by a central differential, supported by three electronically controlled clutches that manage torque transmission to the wheels in real time based on road conditions and speed. There are four driving positions.

In addition to the “2H” and “4H” positions mentioned above, “4HLc” locks the central differential, distributing torque equally to the front and rear wheels to improve traction on snowy, sandy or muddy roads. Finally, the fourth position “4LLc” not only blocks the central differential but also engages low-range gears for more torque on extreme off-road trails.

The suspensions of Fullback feature sophisticated double wishbone architecture with anti-roll bar on the front axle whereas the rigid rear axle has multi-layer leaf springs to maximize reliability and robustness.

Safety and Driving aids contents

Fullback will guarantee top level safety equipment such as the ABS with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), the ESC complete with ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) system, the HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), the Hill-Holder systems that helps the driver during hill starts, and Trailer Stability Assist, that detects a sway of the vehicle caused by a trailer with specific sensors and controls of the braking force of each wheel and the engine power in order to stabilize the motion.
