Northern Commercials got into the Christmas spirit recently with the donation of presents, balloons and even their very own Santa for this year’s CHARM Christmas Party.
The party, attended by over 70 children and their families, was held at the Thackray Medical Museum, in Leeds, and we were helping everyone get in the Christmas spirit with Santa opting to deliver his gifts in an unconventional fashion, this time opting for an Iveco Daily as opposed to the normal sleigh.
Santa then spent the rest of the afternoon in his grotto meeting some very excited children as well as handing out presents and balloons and to top things off he even had some special presents for the mums in attendance. The whole day was a great success and children were invited from across Yorkshire to enjoy the party with an entertainer, Christmas raffle and of course, the opportunity to meet Santa.
The CHARM Children’s Christmas Party is organised by the Children’s Bowel Nursing Team at Leeds General Infirmary. Each year, children are invited who suffer from life long bowel conditions, and have undergone surgery to manage their condition.
Nicola Howarth from CHARM commented: “We are really grateful to Northern Commercials for their kind donation to the charity. It meant that we were able to give the children more this Christmas and offer them a day to remember.”
Roger Peel at Northern Commercials commented: “It was great to see the children when they received their gifts and how happy it made them. To know that Northern Commercials contributed to this party is something we are really happy to have done.”
